Workers' Compensation & Personal Injury

Represents workers in accidents involving work-related trauma (e.g. lifting boxes, car accidents, slip and fall) or occupational exposure (e.g., toxic fumes, asbestos, carpel tunnel syndrome, repetitive bending/motions). Workers’ compensation is not a lawsuit against employer, rather, this is a claim filed with Department of Labor, Division of Workers’ Compensation.

Worker’s compensation benefits include medical benefits, temporary disability benefits, permanent disability benefits, total disability benefits. We will also address Social Security Disability benefits (SSD). The biggest questions are about how medical bills will be paid, and how will income be affected while out of work.  Clients facing loss of income are worried about how they will pay the rent or make their car payments. When a client comes to him, Mr. Weisberg reviews their case, explains the workers’ compensation system and procedures, files claims, represent clients at hearings, monitors their medical treatment, and ensures that the necessary medical exams are conducted for the purpose of litigation.

Time is of the essence in these cases because you only have 2 years to file a claim after the last receipt of medical or temporary disability benefits from employer or insurance carrier. Besides dealing with the stress of pain, loss of income, and inability to work, clients are often frustrated because their employer or the insurance company is nonresponsive to their claims.

A good lawyer will take the weight off your shoulders. A good lawyer makes your problem a priority. A good lawyer helps solve the problem.
