Skilled and Committed New Jersey Drug Crimes Attorney

The stakes are high when it comes to drug offenses in New Jersey.  A conviction can result in significant jail time, a criminal record, loss of your driver's license, heavy fines and severe mandatory penalties.

If you are facing a drug charge, seek the guidance of an experienced criminal defense lawyer who can help you minimize or avoid these consequences. At the law offices of Adam Jon Weisberg, Attorney at Law, we've been helping clients since 1992 who are facing the challenges and issues that arise with a drug charge. We will take the time to understand your particular situation and the facts of your specific case. We take pride in giving our clients both the aggressive representation they need, and the advice they seek about their rights and options.

For sound advice and solid representation, contact our law office in Ocean Township or New Brunswick to speak with experienced criminal defense lawyer Adam Jon Weisberg.

Aggressively Defending Drug Charges for Over 15 Years

With so much at stake, it's essential to explore and understand the options that are available to you.  Since 1992, our firm has counseled clients who are dealing with drug charges, including:

  • Possession
  • Sale
  • Manufacture and distribution
  • Prescription fraud and forgery

Whether you've been charged with a drug crime involving cocaine, meth, marijuana, heroin, or a hallucinogen (LSD, Ecstasy, or mushrooms, for example), or any other illegal substance, we will explore all the ways to achieve the best outcome possible.

For over 15 years, this has been our priority:
Fighting to have charges against the innocent dismissed, raising reasonable doubt, and helping clients avoid jail time, a criminal record, protecting their driver's license and minimizing fines and penalties

We will analyze the weaknesses of the State's case against you, including challenging the validity of the stop or search that turned up the drugs, whether the police questioned you properly, and whether the evidence was collected, handled, and tested correctly.  We make sure that your rights under the law are protected.

Alternatives to Jail

It's important to know that conviction for a drug charge does not necessarily mean that you'll end up in jail. Under New Jersey law, there are real alternatives to incarceration. Recognizing that many drug offenses area health problem, rather than a criminal issue, these alternatives are designed to help individuals struggling with addiction to take back control of their lives.

New Jersey has a drug court system, where in-patient treatment is emphasized over jail. If you're a first-time offender, you may be able to participate in a Pretrial Intervention (PTI) program.  In this program, which usually lasts between 1 and 3 years, the court will impose certain conditions that, if successfully met, can result in your charges being entirely dismissed.  These conditions commonly include a chemical dependency evaluation, a mental health evaluation, on-going treatment, regular drug testing and payment of certain mandatory penalties.

Contact our law office in Ocean Township or New Brunswick today and let experienced drug crimes lawyer Adam Jon Weisberg evaluate your case and advise you of your alternatives, so you can make the best decisions possible.
